Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Police have once again bagged the top position in the country for the average response time under the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) for the month of April.According to the latest rankings, the state police recorded an impressive average event response time of 3 minutes and 36 seconds.Dadra, Daman and Diu ranked second with a response time of 4 minutes and 36 seconds, followed by Lakshadweep in third place with a timing of 5 minutes. Chandigarh stood fourth with an average response time of 5 minutes and 8 seconds.The achievement is notable for Himachal Pradesh Police, as they have outperformed all other states and Union Territories despite challenging terrain and limited resources, ensuring prompt emergency assistance to the public.A breakdown of the response system shows that the average call-taker response time by Himachal Pradesh Police in April was 2 minutes and 1 second, while dispatcher response time stood at just 12 seconds.
