Varanasi: Ballia police arrested three men on Friday night for killing a youth during a wedding function three days ago over the direction of a cooler. A fourth accused was already held after an encounter around Wednesday midnight.Jiyanpur police station in-charge Vinay Kumar Singh said Mahesh Nishad, 24, Pawan Nishad, 18, and Bheem Nishad, 22, were arrested near Mubarakpur crossing around 12.40 am.On April 29, Gorakhpur resident Anmir Chandra Sahani, 29, came with a ‘baraat’ to Indira Nagar, Ajmatgarh, under Jiyanpur police station limits. During ‘jaimal’ rituals, a clash broke out between the bride and groom’s sides over turning a cooler toward them. Sahani was stabbed to death in the clash. Rajesh Nishad of Gorakhpur later filed an FIR against nine people, including Neeraj Nishad.In a late-night encounter on April 30, the main accused, Neeraj Nishad, was arrested after an exchange of fire with the Jiyanpur police in Azamgarh district. His other two accomplices had managed to escape.
