CHENNAI: Two contract workers died after inhaling toxic gas while cleaning a 15-foot-deep stormwater drain sump maintained by the Greater Chennai Corporation at Thendral Nagar in Kodungaiyur on Monday afternoon.The deceased have been identified as Naveen and Ahmed Basha.Fire and rescue services personnel from Madhavaram recovered their bodies and sent them for postmortem.Further investigations are on.
