The impact was such that the car got crushed underneath the truck and the bodies got trapped inside the mangled remains.“Srinivas was sitting next to Shiva and holding Rishitha. The other four were in the rear seat,” deputy commissioner of police Yogesh Gautham told TOI.The family, all residents of Sanathnagar, had gone to the Yadagirigutta temple on Friday morning.“It was while returning home that the accident took place. Since the group started their journey early in the morning, we suspect that the driver was tired and might have dozed off,” a police officer said. The truck driver said that he was on his way to Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh with rice bags tied together with ropes. He told investigators that since some of the ropes were loose, he had parked the truck on the side of the road and was tightening them when the car rammed his truck.Shamshabad inspector K Narayana Reddy said that a case was registered against the truck driver for unauthorised parking on the ORR.
