Hard work of DMK cadres will bear fruit on May 4, says Stalin

Chennai: Chief minister M K Stalin said on Friday that hard work of DMK cadres will become evident for everyone on May 4, the day of counting of votes.Stalin who spoke at the May Day celebrations organised at May Day Park in Chintadripet said DMK will win the Assembly election. “There is not even an iota of doubt about that. I am not saying this based on the exit poll findings,” he said adding that his confidence stemmed from the poll work carried out by the cadres.Speaking about the park, Stalin said former CM M Karunanidhi had a personal connect with the place. “This memorial park and the May Day monument were created by Kalaignar. It reveals his respect for workers and their rights,” he said. The DMK chief also met with party candidates on the day.TNCC president K Selvaperunthagai, too, paid respect at the May Day monument by placing a wreath. Speaking to reporters, he rejected the exit poll reports. “These are not exit polls, but ideas forced into the minds of the public. I have been saying from the beginning that DMK alliance will form govt by winning more than 200 seats,” Selvaperunthagai said.MDMK general secretary Vaiko and other leaders, including CPI former state secretary R Mutharasan and CPM former state secretary G Ramakrishnan, also hoisted May Day flags at their respective party offices.
