Fire breaks out at Geeta Colony garments godown

New Delhi: A fire broke out in a ready-made garments godown in Geeta Colony around 10.06am Sunday. Eight fire tenders reached the spot to douse the blaze, which was brought under control by 11.10am. The fire broke out on the second and third floors of a three-storeyed building, which was spread across 900 sq metres. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Last month, a furniture godown caught fire in Dallupura, with thick black smoke from the blaze visible from over 11km away. In another fire last month, six people, including women and children, were injured after they jumped from their houses in panic when a fire broke out at a factory manufacturing judo dresses and boxing gloves in Swaroop Nagar.
