Palanpur: A six-member delegation from Kerala, led by state’s dairy development, milk cooperatives and animal husbandry minister, Bindhu Krishna, visited Banas Dairy in Palanpur to study its operations and explore ways to adapt its cooperative model for Kerala.The delegation inspected various Banas Dairy units at Badarpura and learnt about the processing of milk and manufacture of various dairy products.“Banas Dairy is an excellent model for the entire country to replicate,” she said.She said Kerala was examining how the successful Banas Dairy model could be adapted to strengthen dairy development in the state. “We will certainly try to adopt the aspects of the Banas Dairy model that are useful and suitable for Kerala,” she said.Krishna described the Banas model as an “excellent and replicable model” and said the delegation had gained useful insights into dairy operations and milk processing.
