Chandigarh: Chandigarh College of Architecture hosted a classical dance evening Tuesday as part of the ongoing Le Corbusier Festival of Architecture 2026, bringing together architecture and the performing arts.The programme featured Kathak performances by Priyanka Kapil and Elena Tsyganova, a Russian Kathak practitioner pursuing a master’s degree in performing arts in India. The presentation began with solo compositions by the two artistes before moving into a duet.Kapil has been associated with Kathak Kendra, New Delhi, and has performed at several national festivals and cultural events.The evening also featured a Bharatanatyam recital by Dr Varun Khanna, a dentist and classical dancer trained under Padma Bhushan Dr Saroja Vaidyanathan and Rama Vaidyanathan.The performances explored themes of rhythm, movement and storytelling. The event concluded with the felicitation of the participating artistes.
