Aizawl: Union home minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Mizoram on Oct 5, with arrangements being made for his attendance at a programme in Aizawl, officials at Aizawl deputy commissioner’s office said.However, Shah’s full itinerary and programme schedule are yet to be received, an official said, adding that preparations for the proposed visit were underway. The union home minister is expected to inaugurate projects, including those under the state corporation department during his visit, he added.Aizawl deputy commissioner Lalhriatpuia issued an order restricting parking of vehicles along the route between Lengpui airport and Youth Recreation Centre in Falkland area of Aizawl on Oct 5 to facilitate Shah’s movement.The order also directed motorists not to cause traffic obstructions along the route. Petrol pumps located along the route were asked to remain closed during the home minister’s visit.However, officials of the state protocol & hospitality wing of the general administration department said Shah’s visit had not yet been confirmed, as his office had earlier deferred the date.
