Hyderabad: Natco Pharma’s board has approved a plan to raise up to ₹1,279.35 crore through a rights issue following in-principle approvals from BSE Ltd and the National Stock Exchange of India earlier this month.The rights issue will include up to 1,70,58,082 equity shares with a face value of ₹2 each, if fully subscribed. The shares will be offered at ₹750 each, including a premium of ₹748 per share, the company said in a regulatory filing with the stock exchanges after its board meeting on Friday.The company has fixed Oct 1, 2026, as the record date for the issue, which will open on Oct 12 and close on Oct 22. Eligible shareholders will receive two rights equity shares for every 21 fully paid-up equity shares held on that date.Natco Pharma said it currently has 17,91,09,870 outstanding equity shares and upon full subscription, its paid-up equity base will rise to 19,61,67,952 shares.The company said fractional rights entitlements will be ignored while computing eligibility, but affected shareholders applying for additional shares may receive preferential consideration for one extra share, subject to availability.Shareholders holding fewer than 21 shares will have zero entitlement but may apply for additional shares. Rights linked to disputed holdings, transmission cases or demat suspense accounts will remain in abeyance until ownership is resolved before issue closure and related documents are submitted satisfactorily, it added.
