New Delhi: A man died, and two others were injured after a group of unidentified miscreants allegedly waylaid an e-rickshaw and attacked its passengers near Yamuna Bazaar Thursday. Police are probing whether robbery was the motive behind the attack.At around 7.30pm, Kashmere Gate police station received information about the stabbing incident. A police team immediately reached the spot and found three passengers injured. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.One of the injured passengers later succumbed to his injuries during treatment, while the other two are undergoing treatment.Investigators examined the scene and recovered vital clues that could help identify the attackers. Kashmere Gate police, along with the operations team of North district, are working on the case and examining all possible angles, including the possibility of robbery.Police teams are scanning available evidence and working to identify and apprehend the persons involved.Multiple police teams have been formed to investigate the incident and identify the persons involved. Investigators are scanning CCTV footage from cameras installed in and around Yamuna Bazaar area to reconstruct the sequence of events leading up to the attack. The footage is also being analysed to trace the movements of the accused before and after the incident and ascertain the possible routes they took while fleeing the spot.Police are also collecting information from eyewitnesses and examining other available evidence to establish the identity of the suspects and determine their exact role in the crime. Simultaneously, raids are being conducted at various locations based on leads developed during the investigation.
