Ludhiana: A man allegedly died by suicide after consuming a poisonous substance, with a video recorded before his death accusing his wife of having an alleged relationship with her cousin and alleging harassment by members of his in-laws’ family.According to his brother, the deceased had been married for around nine years and had been facing family disputes for some time. His wife had been living separately.A family member said that a day before the incident, the man had gone to meet his children, where an argument allegedly took place. He subsequently returned to his rented accommodation.According to the family, on Wednesday evening, the man wrote a suicide note, recorded a video and consumed a poisonous substance. When his condition deteriorated, his brother took him to a hospital. Doctors later referred him to another hospital, but he died while being taken there on Thursday.The family said the body would be brought to the hospital for postmortem examination. The deceased worked with photographers.Police said they had received information about the suicide and a team had been sent to the hospital for necessary proceedings. They added that the matter was being probed.
