Ahmedabad: The admission committee in Ahmedabad has announced the first-round online seat allotment for undergraduate ayurveda and homeopathy courses, specifically BAMS and BHMS, for the 2026-27 academic year. A total of 4,558 seats have been successfully allocated, which includes 4,110 seats under the state quota and 448 seats under the 15% SFI all-India quota.Out of 6,826 candidates on the state quota merit list, 6,346 completed online choice-filling, resulting in the distribution of 1,710 BAMS and 2,400 BHMS seats. Meanwhile, the SFI all-India quota saw 530 participating candidates out of 581 on the merit list, filling 260 BAMS and 188 BHMS seats.Following this initial round, 1,456 seats remain vacant, comprising 147 BAMS and 1,309 BHMS openings, across categories such as NRI, management quota, and PwD.The admission committee has announced that these vacant seats will be systematically converted between categories during the second round as per official rules.Successful candidates can pay their tuition fees online from Sept 23 to 30 at 3.30pm, while physical reporting at help centres for document verification is scheduled from Sept 24 to Oct 1 up to 4pm.Students seeking cancellation of their MBBS/BDS admission must complete the process at the same help centre where they submitted their original documents by noon on Sept 26.
