Rajkot: Devbhumi Dwarka police have begun an investigation into a viral video showing some men being assaulted with plastic pipes with preliminary probe revealing that it was shot in Hathla village of Bhanvad taluka.A person seen in the video appears to be wearing a police uniform. However, no official complaint was registered at Bhanvad police station till the time of reporting.Jamnagar-Khambhalia division deputy superintendent of police, Meet Rudalal, told the media that police were investigating the footage. The inquiry is aimed at identifying the alleged victims and the people seen assaulting them.According to police sources, around four youths involved in collecting waste and scrap had gone to Hathla village. There they were suspected of theft. Village leaders reportedly assaulted them with plastic pipes.
