Kolkata: CM Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday said he discussed the “immense possibilities” for industrial growth and employment generation in Bengal during his meeting with Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani in Mumbai.Adhikari was in Mumbai on Monday to attend Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the Ambani residence following an invitation from Mukesh’s son Anant.In a post on X, Adhikari said he visited the Ambani residence and offered prayers before Lord Ganesha, seeking blessings for the “peace, progress and prosperity” of the country. He also shared two photographs, one with Anant and another with Mukesh and Anant.“As a sacred token carrying the soul, spirit and timeless devotion of our state, I had the honour of presenting a special holy memento of Maa Kali to the Ambani family, praying that the Divine Mother blesses them with good health, happiness and continued success,” the CM wrote.“Our state is ready to welcome visionary investments that empower our youth and drive sustainable economic resurgence,” he said.Adhikari expressed gratitude to Mukesh, his wife Nita and the entire Ambani family for their “extraordinary warmth and gracious hospitality”.The meeting assumes significance as BJP govt has been seeking to change Bengal’s image as an investment destination after taking charge of the state. State govt has been reaching out to major industrial groups as part of its efforts to attract fresh investments and create employment opportunities.
