Pune: Maharashtra govt, in collaboration with Departments of Skill, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Higher and Technical Education, will organise a job fair, ‘Rojgar Mahakumbh–Maharashtra’, across the state on Sept 29.Around 500 job fairs and placement drives are expected to be held simultaneously. Nearly 6,000 colleges and 84 universities under Higher and Technical Education Department will conduct job fairs, campus placement drives, industry interactions and career guidance programmes. It is expected to connect final-year undergraduate and postgraduate students directly with employers.Over 1,000 principals participated in preparatory meetings. Industries, MSMEs and establishments are expected to participate, and students and employers have been encouraged to take advantage of the programme, said an official note from Directorate of Higher Education.
