Jaipur: The fire that broke out at Purohit Ji Ka Katla’s Manihari Bazaar Thursday has also brought to light illegal construction at Sethi Complex. Construction of a bar and restaurant was under way on the complex’s top floor for around four months. Jaipur Municipal Corporation commissioner Om Kasera said construction was illegal and the civic body would now issue a notice to the complex owner and take action.Traders said they were aware that the construction did not comply with regulations but were reluctant to object as the complex owner was overseeing the work. Some suspected that sparks from welding work carried out at night could have reached the shop stock and triggered the fire.
