Varanasi: Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday, calling him the “right leader” for India’s present and future and urging people to support him for the nation and commit themselves to the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat and Viksit Bharat.“Right time, right leader, right work is Narendra Modi,” said Naidu, who also described UP CM Yogi Adityanath as a popular leader and said he was overwhelmed by the energy of Kashi, calling it an ancient city and a centre of spiritual strength.He said Kashi had given the country a leader with a global vision and the ability to deliver development.Highlighting Modi’s journey from a humble background to global leadership, Naidu said India’s democracy enables hardworking citizens with good intentions to rise to great heights.He cited achievements including 25 crore people being lifted out of poverty, free ration for 80 crore citizens, housing for four crore families, tap water access and direct transfers to farmers under PM-Kisan.Naidu praised India’s handling of Covid-19, saying PM Modi protected 140 crore citizens and supported other nations with vaccines. He also lauded women-centric initiatives, the 33% quota proposed for women in Parliament and state assemblies, technology-driven governance, expanding road networks, One Nation One Ration Card, the push for One Nation One Election, river-linking plans, tourism growth and the strengthening of India’s global image.He said the NDA is united and strong and extended birthday greetings to the Prime Minister.
