Kolkata: FMCG major Emami Ltd will buy back up to 59 lakh shares at a maximum price of Rs 475 apiece, for a total outlay of up to Rs 282 crore. The company’s board approved the buyback on Thursday.Emami will use at least 75% of the maximum buyback size, or Rs 211 crore, for the offer. The maximum buyback size represents 9.3% of the company’s paid-up capital and free reserves based on its audited consolidated financial statements as of March 31, 2026.The buyback will increase the promoters’ stake in Emami from 54.8% to 55.6%.
