Jaipur: Around 1,008 candidates will have to reappear for the Rajasthan State Eligibility Test (SET)-2026 after question papers were delayed at two examination centres in Jaipur and Chomu Sunday. Kota University will conduct re-examination at both the centres and issue a fresh schedule on its website.The SET is conducted to determine candidates’ eligibility for the post of assistant professor in colleges and universities across Rajasthan. At Pink City Academy Senior Secondary School, Khora Bisal, Jaipur, the question paper was reportedly received 30 minutes late, affecting 504 candidates. A similar delay was reported at Bansal International School, Chomu, where candidates protested over the late paper distribution.The university attributed the delay to technical issues, stating that the team responsible for carrying question paper and examination material got stuck in a traffic jam.The SET-2026 examination was held in a single shift from 11 am to 2 pm at 429 centres across the state’s seven divisional headquarters. A total of 1,77,901 candidates registered for the examination across 37 subjects, of whom 1,38,618 appeared, recording an overall attendance of around 78%. Jaipur had the highest number of registered candidates at 78,617, with 60,094 appearing for the examination.
