Jhunjhunu: During the second and final phase of voting in Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Churu districts, disputes erupted at several locations over alleged fake voting Friday. Police detained some youths and women in different areas while they were allegedly attempting to cast fake votes.In Sikar’s ward 15, a scuffle and assault were reported between BJP and Congress workers. The clash involved supporters of Congress candidate Jeevan Khan and BJP candidate Simran Mundori. Simran’s husband, Ayub Mundori, alleged that after a complaint was made regarding an attempt at fake voting, supporters of Jeevan Khan assaulted him, also attacked a journalist, and damaged a camera.As tensions escalated, heavy police deployment reached the spot. Collector Ashish Modi, Superintendent of Police Praveen Nayak Nunawat, and Sikar MLA Rajendra Parik reached the location. Former MP Sumedhanand Saraswati also reached the spot along with BJP Kisan Morcha former president Hariram Ranwa and BJP workers, demanding action against guilty. The administration later shifted the EVM from the booth after efforts to calm the situation.Similar arguments and disputes were reported in Jhunjhunu district in Chirawa, Surajgarh and Singhana, where Congress and BJP workers clashed verbally over alleged fake voting. In Churu district as well, altercations were reported in multiple areas during the second phase of polling over similar allegations.
