BJP state panel: Suvendu to look over Tamluk

Kolkata: Ahead of Nandigram and Rejinagar bypolls in Bengal, BJP has formed a 263-member state executive committee, with CM Suvendu Adhikari given the organisational responsibility for Tamluk. Nandigram falls under Tamluk organisational district.Besides Adhikari, the committee includes his father, former Tamluk MP Sisir Adhikari, Union ministers Sukanta Majumdar and Shantanu Thakur and several state ministers and veteran netas.While Sisir Adhikari will look over Contai, Majumdar has been given charge of South Dinajpur. Thakur will handle Bongaon. State ministers Tapas Roy, Jagannath Chattopadhyay, Nishith Pramanik and Shankar Ghosh were entrusted with North Kolkata, Birbhum, Cooch Behar and Siliguri respectively.BJP president Nitin Nabin is likely to visit Bengal on Sept 15 for a two-day organisational tour.
