Chandigarh: AAP Tuesday accused the BJP of shielding the liquor and drug mafia and misusing Chandigarh Police to target its councillors. Addressing a press conference, AAP leaders Hardeep Singh Buterla, Yogesh Dhingra and councillor Jasbir Singh Laddie alleged that criminal elements pushed out of Mohali were attempting to establish operations in Chandigarh under political patronage. Laddie claimed he was targeted for opposing the alleged nexus and that a “false FIR” was lodged against him following a disturbance outside his residence.
