According to police, Devi (29), wife of Prem Kumar, a resident of Nimba Ki Dhani in the Gida area, was working in the fields while her two young sons were playing nearby.Her elder son, Arjun (6), accidentally fell into a water tank while playing. Seeing him fall, the mother immediately jumped into the tank to save him. Meanwhile, her younger son, Dharmendra (3), also fell into the tank while following his mother.Hearing the screams, the children’s grandparents rushed to the spot and called nearby villagers for help. All three were pulled out of the tank and taken to Gida Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.Upon receiving information, Gida police reached the scene and shifted the bodies to the hospital mortuary. The woman’s parental family was also informed.Gida Station House Officer Dalpat Singh said that the family has not expressed any suspicion and termed it an accident.A case of unnatural death (marg) has been registered based on the family’s report. Due to the late hour, the post-mortem could not be conducted at night. Further proceedings will take place in the morning, and the bodies will be handed over to the family.According to information received, the deceased woman was married 10 years ago. Her husband works as a plaster mason and stays outside the village for work. The woman and her two sons lived in the village with her in-laws.
