This was the second such incident reported at the station in the past four days. Services on the Blue Line were briefly affected.Authorities received information at 10:12 am about a person jumping onto the tracks. Upon reaching the spot, it was found that the victim reportedly leapt from the platform and was struck by a train. The man was identified as a native of Rajasthan. Police said he was undergoing treatment for depression.“He was suffering from depression for the past several years and was undergoing treatment at RML Hospital. He visited the hospital on Monday also for treatment. He came to Delhi to attend his elder brother’s daughter’s wedding, who lives in Uttam Nagar,” said a police officer.The body was shifted to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Police initiated inquest proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS), which pertains to inquiries and reports on cases of suicide.The incident briefly impacted service on the Blue Line. An official said, “The metro service was hit briefly as the body was retrieved from the tracks.”On Friday, a 17-year-old boy died after allegedly jumping in front of a train at Uttam Nagar East Metro station.
