Jaipur: The Rajasthan Polo Club (RPC) Ground hosted India’s first-ever night polo matches at the Indian Polo Association level on Thursday evening. This milestone event, part of the annual September Jaipur Polo Season 2026, places the RPC among an elite group of global polo venues featuring floodlit grounds. Celebrating the landmark occasion, Jaipur Team captain Padmanabh Singh stated, “This is a historic occasion. The initiative would allow busy polo enthusiasts to attend matches in the evening while bolstering Rajasthan’s tourism and rich equestrian heritage.”The action-packed evening featured two high-scoring semifinal encounters of the RPC Cup (4 Goals). Team Rambagh/Mayfair Polo secured the first spot in the final with a dominant 9–3 victory over Team Gohilwad.Hurr Ali delivered a standout performance, scoring six goals for the winning side, supported by Pratap Singh Kanota (2) and Sidhant Singh (1). Shubham Gupta scored two goals for Gohilwad.In the second semifinal, Team Jaipur powered past Team RPC with a decisive 12–3.5 victory. Padmanabh delivered a spectacular individual performance, scoring all 12 goals for Team Jaipur. For Team RPC, Dino Dhankhar waged a lone battle, hitting all 3 goals. Team RPC received a half-goal advantage at the start of the match.Team Jaipur will now face Team Rambagh/Mayfair Polo in the final.
