Chandigarh: Chandigarh Police have arrested the two main accused, Subhash alias Shooter and his associate Monu Jaiswal, in connection with the alleged murder of 27-year-old bouncer Pawan Kumar and the assault on his brother Suraj. Sources said the duo were arrested from Uttar Pradesh with the assistance of UP Police.According to investigators, Subhash was allegedly driving a Mahindra Thar and first rammed the vehicle into the two brothers. Pawan fell onto the road, while Suraj was thrown to the other side. Police said another vehicle carrying some of Subhash’s associates then arrived from behind and allegedly ran over Pawan, leaving him critically injured.Both brothers were rushed to GMSH-16, where Pawan succumbed to his injuries during treatment. Suraj was later referred to PGIMER for advanced care.Preliminary investigation indicates the attack stemmed from an old rivalry. Police said Subhash and his associates had reached a hotel in Daria for a party on Saturday night, where the brothers were allegedly targeted.
