Panaji: State cabinet on Wednesday approved the allotment of 4,000sqm of land at Curca to Enforcement Directorate (ED) for construction of its new office at Rs 27,000 per sqm.The cabinet has granted relaxation for allotment as there is no such provision in the Goa Housing Board (Registration, Allotment and Sale of Plots) Rules 2016, for such allotment.The board has acquired 65,850sqm land at Curca. Recently 32,375sqm was allotted to RBI and another 12,000sqm of land was allotted to Nabard.Area of road network is approximately 8,000sqm and also an area of 6,710sqm is left for No development Zone as per the Regional Plan 2021, the cabinet said.The board had received a letter from ED for allotment of land at Curca for construction of its office.The board in its meeting held on June 27, 2025, had decided to consider the request and resolved to allot 4,000sqm land. ED wanted to buy the land and that the finance ministry’s revenue department has accorded approval for the same.
