Guwahati: Govt promised compensation after three family members died in a Mathgharia landslide.MLA Tapan Das visited the site and assured support.“There is a 19-year-old child there, and we will provide whatever assistance is required from the govt’s side. We are making arrangements to move the family to a safe place. We have also identified others living in dangerous conditions, and they too will be relocated to safer areas with the necessary arrangements made for them,” Das said.GMC commissioner Chinmoy Prakash Phookan said the civic body would support rescue and relief.
