Ahmedabad: Of the 5.11 lakh students who took the CM Gyan Sadhana Merit Scholarship Exam, 3.8 lakh students have secured less than 40% marks. Only nine students have scored more than 90% (108 marks) while 283 students from 228 schools scored more than 80% (96 marks). A total of 10,936 students from 4,968 schools scored more than 60% (72 marks) while 39,696 students from 11,362 schools scored more than 50% (60 marks). Only two students scored between 92% and 95% marks.The next step will be the registration process, after which the final merit list will be prepared. Students scoring 60 marks and above in the open category and 55 marks in the SC and ST categories have been considered eligible for inclusion in the merit list.The scholarship scheme aims to support meritorious students who studied continuously from Classes 1 to 8 in govt or grant-in-aid schools, or those admitted under the Right to Education (RTE) Act. Under this initiative, 25,000 students will receive financial assistance to pursue education from Class 9 to 12 in govt, grant-in-aid, or selected self-financed schools. Additionally, admissions to Adarsh Residential Schools under the tribal development department and certain vacant seats in other govt schools are also allocated based on this exam.The provisional answer key was released on April 7, and students were allowed to raise objections until April 13. After reviewing these objections, the final answer key was published on April 20, leading to the declaration of results.
