New Delhi: Three people, including a woman, were arrested for allegedly robbing around Rs 4.3 lakh from a businessman’s employee at gunpoint in outer Delhi’s Mianwali Nagar. The robbery was planned by another employee of the businessman, who was aware of the cash collection.After a PCR call was received at Paschim Vihar West police station Thursday, the caller, a businessman, said that two of his employees, Mahavir and Naresh, had been robbed while returning after collecting cash from clients.Mahavir told police that after he and Naresh collected the cash, Naresh said that his motorcycle was parked at Bhera Enclave and asked to be dropped there.After dropping Naresh, Mahavir was on the way towards Inder Enclave when, near NS Road, a man and a woman on a motorcycle allegedly approached him from behind and forced him to stop. The man scuffled with Mahavir while the woman took the cash kept in the boot of his motorcycle. The duo allegedly brandished a firearm before fleeing.A case of robbery was registered. “The team analysed CCTV footage, conducted technical surveillance and developed local intelligence to identify the persons involved,” DCP (Outer) Vikram Singh said.Naresh (45), a resident of Nihal Vihar, when interrogated, confessed to planning the robbery and disclosed the couple’s location in Mangolpuri. He said that he had handed over the motorcycle key to Sachin (30) and his wife (27), who then carried out the robbery, police said.A police team raided the address and arrested Sachin and his wife. Police said almost the entire amount was recovered from the three accused.
