Chennai: Rank lists for undergraduate Ayush courses admissions for the 2026-27 academic year were released by health minister K G Arunraj on Friday. The Ayush list covers siddha, ayurveda, unani and homeopathy courses under govt, govt-surrendered, all India quota and management quota categories. Of 8,447 applications received, 7,502 who had cleared NEET-2026 were found eligible.The state has 2,224 Ayush seats in govt and self-financing colleges — 926 in siddha, 942 in homeopathy, 318 in ayurveda and 38 in unani. There are 50 seats under the all India quota in govt Indian medicine and homeopathy colleges. The state has 34 Ayush colleges — 15 siddha, six ayurveda, one unani and 12 homeopathy.While P Granthik of Namakkal topped the govt quota list with a NEET-UG score of 639, K Thyagaraj of Tiruvallur topped the all India quota list with 624 marks. B Thamizharuvi of Nagapattinam ranked first under the 7.5% govt school quota, with 516 marks.A total of 1,077 applications were received under the govt-school quota, of which 906 were eligible. For bachelor’s admissions in naturopathy and yoga, which are based on Class XII marks, 3,347 of 3,403 applicants were eligible. There are 2,036 BNYS seats in govt and self-financing colleges. A Baladharshini of Cuddalore topped the govt quota with 200 marks in Class XII, while S Sowmiya of Mayiladuthurai topped the management quota with 193 marks.Special-category counselling is scheduled for Sept 3, and online choice filling for the first round will run until Sept 9. Counselling will begin on Sept 3 and comprise three rounds, followed by a special round for remaining vacancies
