Times News NetworkChandigarh: A man was allegedly stabbed in the abdomen by three youths near Spring Garden in Sector 53 on Aug 23 after he refused to provide them drugs. The injured, Abhishek, a resident of the Small Flats in Dhanas, was taken to Govt Multi-Specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where he is undergoing treatment. On the statement of the injured, Sector 36 police registered a case against unknown persons under the relevant sections of BNS.According to the complainant, Abhishek was walking near Spring Garden when three unidentified youths approached him and allegedly demanded drugs. The youths also searched his pockets but found nothing. Abhishek told police that he had previously used drugs but had quit the habit.When he refused to provide the miscreants with drugs, an argument broke out. The accused allegedly attacked him with a sharp edge weapon during the altercation. The weapon struck Abhishek on the left side of his abdomen, leaving him injured. All the three suspects then ran away.A passerby informed the police about the incident. Sector 36 police registered a case against three unidentified persons and launched an investigation to identify and trace the accused.
