New Delhi: After parts of Delhi received rain Wednesday, there are chances of very light to light rain Thursday but no colour-coded warning has been issued. Rain is unlikely from Friday to Sept 1.According to India Meteorological Department, Ayanagar in southwest Delhi logged 13.3 mm rainfall between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm. During the same period, Safdarjung, the city’s base station, and Lodhi Road recorded just “trace” rainfall.In Aug so far, Safdarjung recorded 354.1 mm rainfall as opposed to the entire month’s normal of 233.1 mm. In the entire monsoon season so far, Safdarjung recorded 653.9 mm rainfall.The maximum temperature was recorded at 33.8 degrees Celsius, which is near normal for this time of the year. The heat index or the “feels like” temperature stood at 42.8 degrees at 11.30 am. The maximum temperature was 33.4 degrees a day earlier.“No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected during the next seven days,” said a Met official. The minimum temperature settled at 26.5 degrees Celsius, which is near normal.Delhi’s air quality marginally improved Wednesday. The AQI was 94 in the “satisfactory” category as against 101 in the moderate range a day earlier.
