Rakhi Sawant joined Keshav Suri and Cyril Feuillebois for the launch of Kitty Su Beauty, described by its founders a queer-led beauty brand, at The LaLiT New Delhi on August 22. The event coincided with 15 years of Kitty Su.The debut range comprises three matte liquid lipsticks and two treatment glosses. The launch was followed by Battle Royale II, a national drag lip-sync competition featuring performers from India’s drag community. Bengaluru-based drag artist Dark Fantasy won the competition.Keshav Suri, Executive Director of The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, said, “Kitty Su Beauty is an extension of the freedom, individuality and unapologetic self-expression that Kitty Su has championed from day one. It is more than a beauty launch for me; it is my way of giving back to my queens who made Kitty Su what it is today.”Cyril Feuillebois said, “Kitty Su Beauty is about bringing the same bold spirit of Kitty Su into beauty — being loud, proud and embracing exactly who you are.”Sawant joined Zeesh and Lush Monsoon on the judging panel, while Betta Naan Stop served as emcee. Performers included Miss Bhenji, Trixie Prema, Noor Sins and Velvet Vortex, among others.The event also reflected the broader work around queer visibility and inclusion associated with the Keshav Suri Foundation, while expanding the nightlife label’s presence into the beauty space.
