Lucknow: BJP’s OBC Morcha national president, Amar Pal Maurya, will be accorded a grand welcome by the party’s Uttar Pradesh unit on Wednesday.Chairing a meeting on Tuesday, UP BJP OBC Morcha president Prakash Pal said Maurya will arrive in Lucknow from New Delhi by the Swarna Shatabdi Express and will be greeted at multiple locations en route.The morcha has planned a series of reception programmes during Maurya’s journey from New Delhi to Lucknow. He is scheduled to be welcomed at Ghaziabad railway station, Aligarh Junction, Tundla Junction, Etawah Junction and Kanpur Central railway station.Upon his arrival in Lucknow, Maurya will be given a grand reception along the route from Charbagh railway station to Vishveshwaraiya Auditorium, opposite Jan Bhavan.Before reaching the venue, he will pay floral tributes at the statue of BJP ideologue Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and visit the VVIP Guest House.The elaborate reception assumes significance as the BJP seeks to mobilise its OBC cadre across Uttar Pradesh ahead of upcoming polls.
