NEW DELHI: Actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has taken an apparent swipe at Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke by sharing an Instagram reel that compares their English-speaking abilities and contrasts clips of the two speaking in English.The reel, shared by Kangana on her Instagram Story, opens with Dipke delivering a public statement in English before cutting to a video of Kangana speaking in English about how she was perceived as a female actor in the film industry.The caption on the reel read, ‘12th pass Kangana Ranaut vs Boston University CJP Dipke English level: One is fire, the other needs a reboot.’

Kangana has previously spoken about struggling with English early in her acting career.Recalling an appearance on Koffee With Karan, where she said she was mocked by actor Sonam Kapoor, Kangana later reflected on the experience.“What I learned from years of fights with film mafia is that no outsider will ever be mocked for not speaking English…also that show is officially closed forever.”She also wrote, “Please don’t miss my comeback in the end. Even at 24 after being openly bullied, humiliated and mocked I showed grace sophistication articulation and humility which English speaking gossipy aunties with so called great upbringing can never…”Dipke had also addressed questions about his English-speaking skills on Instagram Stories on Sunday.Responding to a follower who asked why he hesitates while speaking English, he said he becomes conscious when facing the camera.Kangana has previously criticised protests associated with the CJP and also questioned Dipke’s age and his claim of being a student.“I googled this person and he is 28 years old. How he claims to be a student I have no clue! Yes I am in politics for past 2 years but I have been in public life for the last 20 years. At his age, I had 2 National Awards.”Reflecting on her own experience as a first-time MP, Kangana said she initially found the workload overwhelming, citing her roles as a filmmaker, performing artist, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur.
