Jaipur: The Sanyukt Abhibhavak Sangh Monday demanded stricter safety measures and independent complaint mechanisms in govt schools after allegations of molestation of girls by teachers and principals surfaced in Ajmer, Jodhpur and Alwar, stressing that schools must be the safest spaces for children.The parents’ body said education department’s recent guidelines restricting unauthorised entry, photography and videography in govt schools should be implemented in a manner that does not compromise child safety or accountability. It said a “no-entry” policy should not prevent parents, public representatives or social organisations from raising complaints or seeking accountability.State spokesperson Abhishek Jain Bittu said, “Ensuring a no-abuse system in schools is more important than implementing a no-entry policy.”The association demanded impartial and time-bound inquiries into allegations in Ajmer, Jodhpur and Alwar and strict departmental and legal action if the charges are established. It also sought confidential complaint mechanisms, complaint boxes, access to female teachers or counsellors, regular security audits and effective CCTV monitoring in schools.The body said serious allegations against teachers or officials should lead to appropriate administrative action pending an impartial inquiry. It also called for a controlled and transparent system for parent-school communication and a review of “no-entry” orders to ensure they do not hinder complaints, inspections or public accountability.
