Jaipur: In a significant step towards promoting inclusive sports and empowering para athletes, the Pushpa Jaipuria Foundation inaugurated a sports ground useful for para athletes and disabled cricket players on April 26. It is the first ground in India available to disabled athletes.The facility would be equipped with a modern Strength and Rehabilitation Centre, aimed at supporting training, recovery, and overall athletic development for specially-abled sportspersons.The ground was formally inaugurated by Limba Ram, Chhetri Prabhari of Rajasthan, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Following the inauguration, the ground was officially handed over to Rajasthan Differently-Abled Cricket Association (RDCA) and Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) to facilitate structured training and sporting activities.The event was graced by key dignitaries and representatives, including Mahendra Surana, DN Jain, Gaurav Jhalani and Manish Tiwari.Speaking on the occasion, representatives highlighted the Foundation’s commitment to inclusive development through sports, emphasizing that the initiative will provide a much-needed platform for para athletes to train, compete, and excel at national and international levels.This initiative marks a milestone in strengthening infrastructure for disabled sports in India and reflects a growing commitment to accessibility, equality, and empowerment through sports.
