Surat: A simulation lab called “Spandan” was inaugurated by minister of state (MoS) for health Praful Pansheriya at PP Savani University in Dhamdod, Surat district, on Saturday. The facility will provide hands-on clinical training to healthcare students through technology-driven, real-world learning environments.University officials said the initiative marks a step in expanding technology-based healthcare education. Equipped with advanced simulators, medical devices and contemporary training systems, the lab will allow students to practise clinical skills in settings that closely resemble real situations.The facility will serve students from the university’s nursing, physiotherapy, homeopathy and ayurvedic colleges. It will also host skill-development programmes for hospital doctors, nursing personnel and other healthcare workers.Training will cover patient care, emergency management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Basic Life Support (BLS), IV line procedures and other clinical processes. The sessions will be conducted in a controlled environment, enabling learners to build practical skills before working with patients in clinical settings.
