State extends Annapurna Yojana DBT for 1.45 crore beneficiaries
Of the 1.8 crore applications for Annapurna Yojana, 1.62 crore have been verified, and money transfer started on Monday for 1.45 crore beneficiaries who applied till July 10

Kolkata: The state govt will continue direct benefit transfer of the third instalment of Annapurna Yojana to beneficiaries for a couple of days till the monthly amount of Rs 3,000 is credited to accounts of all 1.45 crore selected recipients.The govt began transferring the third instalment on Monday, covering 1.37 crore beneficiaries by Friday afternoon. Earlier, DBT was scheduled to end on Thursday.A portal has also been opened where individuals can file claims if their names were excluded from the beneficiary list. Officials said over 2.5 lakh claims have already been submitted on the portal, which opened on Thursday.“Application verification is underway and the disbursal process is continuing. Disbursals will be completed and money will be credited to all 1.45 crore verified beneficiaries within the next couple of days,” a state govt official said.Of the 1.8 crore applications for Annapurna Yojana, 1.62 crore have been verified, and money transfer started on Monday for 1.45 crore beneficiaries who applied till July 10. Officials said the remaining 17 lakh applicants whose forms were withheld can file claims and objections for further verification on the social security portal.
