Varanasi: The decomposed body of a 22-year-old woman who had been missing for three days was found in a water-filled washroom of a locked house in Varanasi’s Rajatalab police station area on Thursday. Locals alerted police after noticing a foul smell emanating from the house.According to the family, the woman, a resident of Rajatalab, was a student at Jagatpur PG College. Her family searched for her but could not find any trace. They later filed a complaint at the police station and alleged that police did not take timely action. The deceased was her father’s only daughter. Her body was found from a locked house behind Malviya Inter College at Bachchhav in the Paschim Pura area.. The owner of the house said tenants lived in the house, but no one was present at the time.Police and a forensic team reached the scene and sent the body for postmortem.
