Ajmer: A video showing two men allegedly being tied to a tree and beaten went viral Wednesday, prompting police to investigate the incident in Bhinai town of Ajmer district.The video, recorded Tuesday evening, reportedly shows the two men being restrained by workers at a hospital construction site. According to police, the contractor and his workers had caught the duo allegedly stealing construction material from the site.Bhinai SHO Surendra Singh said the contractor informed police about the incident, following which a team reached the spot and detained the two men. Police said the workers had tied them to the tree to prevent them from fleeing.Police denied that the contractor had beaten the men and said no complaint had been filed by the contractor or anyone else so far. The duo allegedly did not initially disclose their identities, and police are verifying their identities and addresses.The two were arrested under preventive provisions for disturbing peace, while police are investigating the alleged theft and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
