Jaisalmer: Police arrested three brothers in connection with the alleged murder of a man who was run over by a jeep following a dispute over a cow entering an agricultural field in Bhaniyana area of Jaisalmer district.The accused were identified as Shravan Kumar (33), Jetha Ram (22) and Devi Lal Ram (45), all brothers and residents of Medwa village.The case was registered on Aug 13 on a complaint by Chetan Ram, a resident of Prabhupura Medwa. According to the complaint, a cow’s calf had entered the agricultural field of Hardan Ram. Hardan Ram allegedly went to Chetan Ram’s house and abused the family, leading to an argument during which Chetan Ram’s daughter-in-law allegedly pushed him.Police said that following the dispute, Hardan Ram’s sons and other family members allegedly conspired with Shravan Kumar and Jetha Ram to take revenge. They allegedly followed Chetan Ram’s son Jetharam while he was travelling to work on a motorcycle and rammed him with a jeep, resulting in his death.Jaisalmer SP Abhishek Shivhare said a team was formed under the supervision of Pokhran Circle Officer Buddharam Bishnoi and led by Phalsund SHO Mahadev Godara and subsequently arrested the three brothers.
