With day 5 numbers of ‘Awarapan 2’ in, the actor has finally been able to clock his first solo lead Rs 100 film box office hit.As per Sacnilk, the film began its theatrical journey with Rs 22 crore on day 1, Friday. The collections witnessed a significant 55 percent jump on Saturday, with the sequel bringing in Rs 33.75 crore. The boost came amid the Independence Day holiday weekend and was further supported by an increase in show count. From 9,033 shows on Friday, the number rose to 10,496 on Saturday. While it made Rs 26 crore on Sunday, Monday brought the expected post-weekend dip, but the film remained steady and earned Rs 9.25 crore.On Tuesday, day 5, ‘Awarapan 2’ has made Rs 9.75 crore and the number of shows have also been increased. With that, the total collection now stands at Rs 100.75 crore net in India. The gross total in India is Rs 120 crore while the worldwide collection stands at Rs 144.13 crore.While Emraan had previously achieved this feat with his antagonist roles in ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘They Call Him OG’. However, ‘Awarapan 2’ marks his first Rs 100 crore grosser as a solo lead. According to reports, the film has been mounted on a budget of Rs 45 crore, thus, it’s already a hit. With a net profit of approximately Rs 60 crore, ‘Awarapan 2’ has delivered an impressive 122 percent return on investment within just five days.
