Petrol Langar in Chandigarh: Devotee to offer fuel coupons for those chanting ‘Jai Mata Di’

CHANDIGARH: A devotee from Amritsar, who has been living in Chandigarh for the past seven to eight months, is set to organise what his associates describe as a unique petrol langar in the city.According to people close to him, Raja is a devoted follower of Mata and spends nearly 15 hours a day chanting “Jai Mata Di”.His associates said he finds peace in the chant and wants to spread the name of Mata through different forms of service.The latest initiative, they said, will be a two-day petrol langar on August 18 and 19 at petrol pumps in Sectors 7 and 10, Chandigarh.As per his close associates, anyone who chants “Jai Mata Di” will be eligible to receive a coupon.The coupon will entitle a two-wheeler owner to petrol worth Rs 500, while those with four-wheelers will receive fuel worth Rs 1,000.Raja’s associates claim that this is not his first unconventional langar.In the past, he has organised cash langars, a gold-coin langar and even a langar at a five-star hotel.The associates said the initiative is aimed at combining devotion with service and encouraging more people to chant Mata’s name.The planning process has taken about 5-6 months.
