Chandigarh: AAP Punjab in charge and former Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Monday dismissed allegations levelled by opposition parties regarding a performance at the state-level Independence Day function in Ferozepur.Opposition parties have accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) govt of staging a performance that featured elderly individuals dancing, claiming it was done to falsely portray them as beneficiaries of the state’s health scheme.Responding to a question by media persons regarding these charges, Sisodia retorted that opposition leaders should first focus on resolving issues within their own parties.Sisodia said, “The way Bhagwant Mann Sahab has shown concern for Punjab and its people is something no party or chief minister in the history of Punjab has ever done before. To the parties criticizing Mann Sahab, I would say that focus on managing your own parties properly. He is deeply concerned about the health of the people of Punjab, and Bhagwant Mann is ensuring this is handled effectively—something the people of Punjab are well aware of.”.Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia slammed the AAP govt, alleging that at the Ferozepur Republic Day event, people who had never undergone knee replacement surgery were made to dance and presented as patients who had successfully undergone the procedure.
