Ahmedabad: The district education officer (DEO) has sought an explanation from SS Divine School located on Sola–Science City Road, after allegations that two principals of the school also hold senior positions at Swaminarayan University in Kalol.After NSUI made a representation to Ahmedabad West DEO Rohit Chaudhary with documents supporting their claims, the officer issued a show-cause notice to the school management demanding a written explanation.According to the notice, Pradeep Verma, principal of the school’s Gujarati medium section, is also dean at Swaminarayan University. Sonu Rao, principal of the English medium section, is also an assistant professor at the same university, according to allegations cited in the notice.The DEO has questioned how they could hold important, full-time positions as school principals while working at another higher education institution. He has sought clarification on how the appointments were made at both institutions.The school management has been directed to submit an immediate written explanation along with documentary evidence.
