Guwahati: Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST) has welcomed Prof. Ashis Kumar Mukherjee back as director for a second term.A distinguished scientist and academic leader, Prof. Mukherjee has extensive experience in research, academic administration and institution-building. His contributions have strengthened the institute’s research and academic ecosystem, officials said.During his previous tenure, he played a key role in promoting excellence, interdisciplinary research, innovation and collaboration at IASST. Officials expressed hope that his second term would bolster the institute’s work in frontier areas of science and technology and deepen its engagement with national and international research communities.
