Sohail Khan’s recent slimmer appearance sparked considerable discussion online, with social media users questioning whether his weight loss was linked to a health issue. Some even wondered if the actor had used Ozempic or other weight-loss products to shed the kilos. The 55-year-old actor has now addressed the speculation, explaining that his physical transformation was largely influenced by his experience on The Alliance, where he entered the reality show as a wildcard contestant. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sohail opened up about the challenges of adapting to the show. As his first reality television experience, being inside the house took some getting used to. He admitted that he initially felt “a bit claustrophobic” during his first few days. His discomfort was compounded when he developed a stomach infection during the first week of his stint.“A stomach bug added to that in the first week itself of entering the house,” Sohail said.Despite falling ill so early into the competition, Sohail continued his journey for five weeks. He credited the support and affection he received from his fellow contestants for giving him the motivation to remain on the show.“I must tell you, the love and concern, not only about my health, but at any given time by contestants, made me stay in for five weeks, though I was unwell in the first itself,” he added. The health setback also prompted Sohail to pay closer attention to his eating habits. Rather than allowing the illness to derail his participation, he focused on managing his diet while staying fit enough to take part in the challenges.Beyond the physical changes, Sohail said the reality show also gave him meaningful relationships. He developed close bonds with the other contestants and described them as his “new family and friends”. He expressed a desire to remain connected with them beyond the show and carry those friendships forward for years to come.Sohail also directly dismissed the growing speculation that medication had helped him lose weight. Clarifying that neither Ozempic nor fat-burning supplements were behind his transformation, he said, “So no Ozempic, no fat burners, I’m only taking pure and loads of love and affection from everyone,” he said. His weight had previously become a topic of discussion on The Alliance when his brother, Salman Khan, made an appearance to show his support. At the time, Salman revealed that Sohail had already lost 12 kg.The speculation resurfaced after images and videos from the reality show party circulated on the internet. Sohail’s noticeably leaner appearance caught viewers off guard, prompting a mix of concern, jokes and theories about the reason behind his weight loss. The actor’s latest comments, however, offer his own explanation for the transformation.
